Job Description
You are an experienced Opcenter Discrete Developer / Expert with a deep understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and hands-on experience with OPC (OLE for Process Control). You have successfully led and supported MES implementations and rollouts across multiple manufacturing plants. In this role, you will be responsible for solution development, integration, deployment, and ongoing support in a dynamic manufacturing environment. As a Siemens Opcenter Discrete Developer/ Expert MES Implementation & Support, you will design, develop, and configure solutions using Siemens OpsCenter Discrete MES. You will integrate MES with shop floor systems and automation layers using OPC UA/DA protocols. Leading and supporting multi-plant MES rollouts to ensure alignment with operational and business goals will be a key part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including production, automation, and IT is essential. You will also provide post-deployment support, issue resolution, and system optimization while documenting technical specifications, configurations, and support procedures. Ensuring system reliability, scalability, and compliance with manufacturing standards is crucial for this role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in MES development and deployment. Strong expertise in Siemens Opcenter Discrete and OPC integration is required, along with a proven track record of successful MES rollouts across multiple manufacturing sites. A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations is necessary, as well as proficiency in SQL, scripting, and system integration. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills are a must. Additionally, having a valid passport and a business visa to Europe (Denmark) is preferred, as you should be ready to travel as required. Strong communication skills for client interaction are also important. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Industry 4.0, IIoT, and digital manufacturing initiatives, as well as knowledge of IT/OT integration and cybersecurity in industrial environments.,
