Job Summary: The Shipping Head will oversee and manage the entire shipping operations across four companies within the garment industry. This role entails leading shipping teams, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods, maintaining compliance with industry regulations, and optimizing shipping processes to achieve cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of shipping teams across all four companies. Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to shipping staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Shipping Operations: Oversee daily shipping and distribution operations to ensure timely delivery of goods. Coordinate with production, inventory, and logistics departments to align shipping schedules. Ensure accurate documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and shipping labels. Process Optimization: Implement strategies to streamline shipping processes and reduce costs. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve shipping efficiency. Adopt and integrate shipping software and technologies to enhance operations. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all shipping activities comply with legal regulations and company policies. Maintain safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of staff. Stay updated on changes in shipping regulations and implement necessary Vendor & Carrier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with shipping carriers and third-party logistics providers. Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers to ensure cost-effective services. Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors and carriers promptly. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in shipping or logistics management within the garment or textile industry. Proven experience in leading and managing teams across multiple locations or companies. Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, documentation, and best practices. Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving Preferred Skills: Experience with international shipping and customs regulations. Familiarity with lean management and continuous improvement methodologies.
