They troubleshoot technical issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Key responsibilities include monitoring equipment performance, conducting inspections, coordinating with other teams, and maintaining detailed records. Key duties and responsibilities of a Shift Engineer: Troubleshooting and Maintenance:Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, or operational issues that arise during their shift. Routine Maintenance:Performing scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance. Equipment Monitoring:Continuously monitoring the performance of machinery and systems to identify potential problems. Safety Compliance:Ensuring adherence to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Coordination and Communication:Collaborating with other engineers, technicians, and operators to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations. Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and any incidents that occur during the shift.
