Job Description

As a Service Engineer in the manufacturing industry, your main responsibility will be to install and configure metal cutting machinery and equipment at customer sites. You will need to conduct initial testing to ensure proper operation and calibration of machines. Additionally, your role will involve performing routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend the equipment's life. Your troubleshooting skills will be crucial as you diagnose and fix issues with machinery and equipment to minimize downtime. In cases where repairs are needed, you will either carry them out on-site or coordinate with specialized repair facilities. Providing technical support and assistance to customers by addressing their queries and concerns will also be part of your daily tasks. Another essential aspect of your role will be to train customer personnel on the proper use and maintenance of the equipment. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining detailed service reports, including descriptions of work performed and parts used. This documentation is vital for tracking service history and ensuring proper record-keeping. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits such as health insurance, paid sick time, and Provident Fund offered. The work schedule is fixed, and there are opportunities for performance bonuses and yearly bonuses. The preferred educational qualification for this role is a Diploma, and experience in CNC Machine Service is preferred with a minimum of 3 years. Your work location will primarily be in-person, and you will be based in Mumbai.
