Job role POSITION: VP (Operation) Experience: 10+ years Working: Work from office (6 day, Saturday WFH) - 9AM-6PM Role Overview: We are seeking a Vice President of Operations with deep expertise in localization to manage the end-to-end delivery of translation projects and oversee our translator operations. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background, with a focus on localization tools and technology, to drive operational excellence and deliver quality translations at scale Key Responsibilities: 1. Operations Leadership: Oversee project delivery, ensuring timely completion, high quality, and adherence to client specifications. Develop operational strategies for scalable workflows that leverage AI and automation. Collaborate cross-functionally with tech and sales teams to align operational goals with business strategy. 2. Translator Management: Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and management of translators (in-house and freelance), optimizing translator performance and engagement. 3. Localization Project Delivery: Drive project management of multilingual localization efforts, coordinating resources for timely, accurate translations. Engage directly with clients for high-priority or complex localization projects. Address potential project challenges with quick and effective solutions. 4. Technology Integration: Collaborate with the tech team to fully integrate AI-driven machine translation tools like DOTA (Devnagri On the Air) into the localization process. Lead the adoption of automation tools such as CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools, TMS (Translation Management Systems), and AI-powered smart end pointing to optimize workflow efficiency. Stay up to date on emerging AI/ML technologies in the localization space to drive process improvements. 5. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high translation standards. Use data and analytics to continuously improve project performance, translator productivity, and translation quality. 6. Team Leadership & Development: Lead a high-performing operations team, encouraging collaboration and innovation. Facilitate ongoing training to keep the team updated with the latest tools, best practices, and localization trends. Required Tools/Software Knowledge: CAT Tools: Experience with industry-standard tools like SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, or Wordfast. TMS (Translation Management Systems): Familiarity with XTM Cloud, Memsource, or Smartling for managing localization projects. QA Tools: Knowledge of Xbench, Verifika, or other tools for ensuring translation quality. Localization Automation: Experience with AI/ML-powered translation engines and platforms like Devnagris DOTA or other similar tools. CMS Integration: Experience integrating TMS with content management systems like WordPress, Magento, or enterprise platforms. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Operations, Technology, or a related field; MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in operations management with a focus on localization and language services. Proven leadership in managing large translator teams, freelancers, or vendors. Deep technical expertise in localization software, CAT tools, and AI-powered platforms. Strong project management skills, with experience in overseeing complex multilingual projects. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
