Job Description
As a Senior Transformer Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing oil-cooled distribution transformers ranging up to 10 MVA at 11kV & 33kV. Your duties will include designing LV coils using copper FOIL, preparing Bills of Materials (BOM), and designing star-rated energy-efficient transformers in compliance with IS 1180. You will also engage with customers to address technical inquiries, process orders efficiently, and calculate stiffeners for the tank. Additionally, your role will involve utilizing your knowledge of the strength of materials to enhance transformer design. To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in designing distribution transformers or oil-cooled transformers. You will be expected to meticulously plan customers" days and manufacturing schedules for transformers, ensuring timely delivery. Effective coordination with customers, sales teams, and commercial departments is crucial for successful project execution. A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (BE/Diploma) is required for this role. This position is based in Rajajinagar, Bangalore.
