Position: Senior Tax Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tax Preparation & Review

   • Handle business and personal tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, 990, 1041)

   • Ensure federal, state, local, and international tax compliance

   • Manage tax notices, IRS communication, and documentation

2. Financial Statements

   • Prepare/review financial statements and assist accounting team

3. Tax Planning & Reduction Strategies

   • Apply strategies to minimize tax liabilities

   • Conduct independent tax research as needed

4. Team Leadership

   • Supervise and review junior staffs work

   • Train and mentor team members

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

5. Client Onboarding & Communication

   • Build and maintain strong client relationships

   • Address client tax queries and provide updates

6. Database Management

   • Maintain and organize tax-related records and generate reports

Requirements:

1. Experience

   • 10+ years in US taxation, with tax return preparation and review

   • Experience working with small to medium-sized firms preferred

2. Certifications

   • Must be an Enrolled Agent (EA), CPA, or equivalent in accounting/taxation

   • Commerce background mandatory

3. Technical Skills

   • Proficient in Drake, UltraTax, QuickBooks, Xero, MS Office

   • Strong numeracy, accuracy, and computer literacy

4. Leadership & Soft Skills

   • 6-7 years in a team lead role

   • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking abilities

   • Patience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
