Job Description

Perform manual testing of web applications to ensure quality and functionality. Identify, record, and track bugs and defects using appropriate tracking tools. Prioritize bugs based on severity, impact, and urgency to ensure critical issues are addressed first. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure clear communication of issues. Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts to identify software issues. Conduct regression, functional, and user acceptance (UAT) tests. Verify that new features meet acceptance criteria and are working as expected. Report test results, provide feedback, and participate in daily stand-ups to communicate project status. Stay updated with testing methodologies and tools to continuously improve testing processes. Work closely with the automation QA team to ensure that test coverage is comprehensive. Test backend processes, ensuring that data is correctly saved, updated, and retrieved in the database. Perform API testing to verify the integration between frontend and backend services, ensuring the API endpoints function as expected and return correct data. Verify database records and check if they reflect expected changes after different user actions. Requirements 3+ years experience as a Software Test Engineer (Manual) or in a similar role. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies. Ability to prioritize bugs based on their severity, impact, and business needs. Experience with bug-tracking tools like Trello, JIRA, Asana, or similar. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team. Hands-on experience with API testing, including tools like Postman or similar. Hands-on experience with database testing, verifying data integrity, and writing simple SQL queries.
