We are seeking a dynamic Senior Software Engineering Manager specialized in Python Framework for our client, a US-based software product company within the Cybersecurity domain. This role demands hands-on experience in software development utilizing Python, Django, AWS, REST APIs, and SQL. As the Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading high-performing development teams in the creation of innovative and impactful cybersecurity products. Working collaboratively with other engineers in a fast-paced, agile environment, you will drive the delivery of scalable and secure software solutions. Key Requirements: - A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with 12-16 years of overall work experience. - Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in software development using Python/Django framework. - At least 2 years of experience in managing software development teams. (People management experience is essential) - Proven track record of leading, managing, and delivering high-quality software products and features. - Strong expertise in managing high-caliber engineering teams. - Proficiency in building and integrating REST-based APIs with secure authentication and authorization in enterprise-grade environments. - Hands-on experience in developing applications and microservices on AWS using Python. - Proficient in at least one web framework such as Django, Flask, Rails, or Express. - Sound understanding of software design principles and system architecture. - Knowledge of cloud-native concepts, including multi-tenancy, scaling, and serverless architecture. - Skilled in writing clean, unit-tested, and secure code. - Experience with relational databases such as MySQL/Postgres and proficient in SQL. - Familiarity with NoSQL technologies like MongoDB and Elasticsearch is preferred. - Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Docker, GitLab, Terraform). - Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages. - Cybersecurity industry experience, particularly working with APIs and understanding threat landscapes, AV/EDR/DLP/CASB, etc., is a strong advantage. - Experience in building scalable data processing pipelines is a bonus. Key Responsibilities: - Lead software development teams utilizing the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodologies. - Offer effective solutions to complex engineering challenges. - Translate strategic goals into actionable development plans. - Coordinate efforts and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams.
