Job Description

You will be responsible for proactively soliciting and managing large group/catering related opportunities with significant revenue potential. Your main task will involve managing group/catering opportunities not handled by an Event Booking Center (EBC). It is essential to actively up-sell each business opportunity to maximize revenue and ensure achievement of personal and team-related revenue goals. You will need to verify that business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion to ensure proper service delivery. Your ultimate goal is to drive customer/guest loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer/guest experience and provide service to customers in order to grow the account on behalf of the company. To qualify for this position, you should possess a high school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major will suffice, even with no work experience required. Your core work activities will include understanding market opportunities and driving revenue by targeting group/catering accounts, markets, or segments with a heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and soliciting new group/catering business to achieve personal and property revenue goals. Additionally, you will focus on accounts with significant potential sales revenue, develop effective sales plans, design and sell creative catered events, and maximize revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage. Providing exceptional customer service is paramount in this role, as you will handle complex business with significant revenue potential and customer expectations. You will build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings, participate in community-related activities to expand customer base, and drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. It is crucial to understand the propertys primary target customer and service expectations to offer better business solutions and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will also work collaboratively with off-property sales channels and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Additional responsibilities may include utilizing resources and information on the intranet, conducting site inspections, creating contracts as required, and supporting the operational aspects of booked business. Embrace a culture of diversity and inclusion where your skills and experiences are appreciated, and non-discrimination is upheld on any protected basis. At Courtyard, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional guest experiences, be part of a small yet ambitious team, and continuously strive for improvement while having fun.,
