JOB DETAILS Job Title Associate Consultant- PICU Reporting Supervisor HOD II. JOB PURPOSE To assist Pediatric Department to deliver high quality intensive care in the hospital. III. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Core Responsibilities To effectively interface with patients/ attendants/ physicians and deliver high quality intensive care with compassion and high level of responsiveness. Post doctoral Fellows in pediatric intensive care, recognized by Medical Council of India, with excellent theoretical knowledge in the management of critically sick patients. Excellent practical experience in the field of pediatric intensive care, experts at handling and stabilization of critically sick patients requiring tertiary care in the form of ventilation, central line placement, organ dysfunction management etc. Involved in academic activities, CMEs and research aimed at improving the standards of care in PICU. Involved in overall improvement of the functioning of the PICU in the form of teaching of the nursing staff, senior residents and other staffs. To attend to sick children in shortest possible time. To take decisions on patient management urgently. To get the admission procedure, record management and discharge formalities done on time. To participate in programs for quality improvement in PICU practices. To follow infection control policies and biomedical waste management guidelines of the hospital. To collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient intensive care. To ensure proper stock management. To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies. To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital. To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital. To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area To Comply with patient safety policy To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system.
