Job Description

As an Engineer/Senior Engineer in this role, you will be responsible for carrying out Basic Engineering for projects, including the preparation of PFDs and Material & Energy balances. You will also conduct detailed engineering activities in collaboration with engineering consultants, such as preparing P&IDs, Equipment lists, Layouts, Pump Hydraulics, and Instrument lists. Furthermore, you will be tasked with preparing utility load requirements, header sizing, and utility summaries for projects. Your responsibilities will also include conducting HAZOP studies, incorporating recommendations, and reviewing process data sheets for fabrication equipment, pump datasheets, and instrument datasheets. Additionally, you will prepare technical bid evaluations for equipment and coordinate with various disciplines and consultants to ensure project quality and schedule adherence. In this role, you will provide technical clarifications to Mechanical, Instrument, and Electrical departments during procurement from a process perspective. You will participate in DCS-related activities, including logic/recipe preparation and interlocks preparation, as well as in Factory acceptance tests (FAT) and Site acceptance tests for DCS commissioning. Moreover, you will be involved in providing training to operations teams, preparing tie-up lists for system integration, scheduling pre-commissioning and start-up activities, and participating in Pre Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR) with operations and SHE teams. Your role will also include commissioning projects through water runs, pilot trials, and batch trials, as well as troubleshooting to achieve desired output and product quality. Additionally, you will support R&D and Production by performing process calculations, design calculations, and developing flow sheets for existing/new equipment. You will conduct technical and economic analyses of production batches, work on the development of new processes, and conduct laboratory scale and pilot scale studies. Furthermore, you will be responsible for literature surveys and library work as required. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of a BTech/BE in Chemical Engineering, with an MTech/ME in Chemical Engineering being desired. The ideal candidate will have 15-20 years of experience in the field.,
