Job Description

THE POSITION IS ON HOLD CURRENTLY.

Location- Hyderabad (WFO)
Budget- upto 22 LPA
Notice period- Immediate-30 days (max)
Experience- 9-12 Years
Relevant experience- 9 years is required
Skills required- team lead experience, PostgreSQL, DBA, SQL Server, PL/SQL, cloud technologies AWS and EC2 tools.
Interview process- 1st round online and Round 2 and 3 in-person in Hyderabad office.
Educational Qualifications: B.E / B Tech / Masters in Computer Science.

Specific Technical expertise:
- PostgreSQL 11 experience required.
- Knowledge on Microsoft SQL Server is highly desired.
- Previously worked on heterogeneous migration of DB to PostgreSQL
- In-depth understanding of AWS or any other Public cloud.
- Must have experience in PostgreSQL database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/ SQL programming, and
catalog navigation.
- Query tuning, system tuning, resource contention analysis, backup and recovery, standby, replication, etc.
- Technical certifications Relevant technical certifications are a plus
- Compensation In line with industry standards

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the monitoring and uptime of all production databases.
2. Estimate PostgreSQL database capacities; develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage.
3. Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, reducing any downtime.
4. Develop Stored Procedures and Database Triggers in support of application development.
5. Participate in application development projects and be responsible for database architecture and design.
6. Responsible for developer SQL code review to ensure queries are optimized and tuned to perform efficiently prior to production release.
7. Responsible for regular backups and recovery of databases.
8. Responsible for regular maintenance of databases (e.g., Vacuum, Reindexing, Archiving).
9. Responsible for proactive remediation of database operational problems.
10. Responsible for Query tuning and preventative maintenance.
