As a Senior PHP developer with expertise in the Symfony Framework, you will be responsible for working on mid-to-large codebases and implementing API-driven solutions. Your role will involve utilizing your 5+ years of PHP experience along with recent Symfony expertise to design, develop, and maintain solutions. To excel in this role, you should have a solid understanding of PHP internals and at least 2 years of recent experience with Symfony. Additionally, you should be familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL management. Experience working within a microservices architecture and handling production-level PostgreSQL databases is essential. As a programming language agnostic professional with over 5 years of experience in a similar role, you will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of yourself and the team. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to sharing ideas are qualities that will be valuable in this position. Ideally, you will also have experience with technologies such as Elastic search, RabbitMQ, Memcache, and Redis. Knowledge of tools like ELK, Jaeger, Prometheus, and Grafana would be considered a bonus. This is a full-time role with an 8-hour workday, requiring 5 hours of overlap with PST time zone. The initial contract length is 6 months, with the potential for a permanent remote position for the right candidate.
