Job Description: Senior Odoo Developer

We are looking for an Odoo Developer with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and
customizing Odoo modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and
maintaining business applications using the Odoo ERP platform, as well as integrating Odoo with
other systems. Additionally, responsible for training and managing the team.

Experience: 4 to 8 Years

Roles & Responsibilities:

-Design and develop Odoo for customization, code migration, output documents, functional test/user acceptance test, and unit test

-Work closely in coordination with technical lead as needed to plan, scope, design, develop
test, implement, support and enhance Business applications and its features/solutions

-Assess the impact of potential changes/customizations in Odoos core business apps,
implement solutions to mitigate negative outcomes

-Create documentation and code comments, as well as maintain clear, understandable and
optimised code to demonstrate solutions

-Follow the procedure for source code verification to keep the code up to date in Git Version
Control

-Make sure to follow the prescribed coding and development best practices to give high-
quality output as per the requirement

-Understanding the requirements and participating in project planning process

-Participate in sprint meetings to discuss the status, challenges and scope of the projecft

-Follow the latest development methods like continuous deployment & integration Bug fixing, performance optimization

Application development using Odoo framework & components

Follow best practices for secured Software Development

Maintaining databases with PostgreSQL

Required Skills:

Must be familiar with the ORM API and the most recent version of Odoo

Must have knowledge about popular open-source IDE such as PyCharm, VS Code

Must have experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies

Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, XML

Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix development environments is a must

Excellent understanding of branching and merging in version control systems like GIT,

Bitbucket etcHEIN+FRICKE India Technology Services Private Limited

Good to have:

Experience with Docker, Linux is an advantage

Knowledge of agile development methodologies

Odoo certification is a plus

Personal Competencies:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communications skills

Readiness to learn a new language and frameworks

Self-starter & be able to work with minimum supervision

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
