Position Open: Senior Executive, Office of Press and Media Location: Alliance University,Anekal, Bengaluru Alliance University is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Executive to join its Office of Press and Media. This role calls for an individual with strong editorial sensibilities, a deep understanding of media dynamics and a passion for institutional storytelling. Required Experience A minimum of 3 to 5 years in journalism, media relations, public affairs or content strategy, preferably within education, corporate or agency settings. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute media outreach plans to enhance institutional visibility across print, digital and broadcast platforms Draft and edit press releases, media statements, thought leadership articles and opinion pieces Coordinate and manage media interactions, familiarisation visits, press briefings and interview opportunities Support senior leadership with editorial content, including speeches, quotes and authored articles Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports, including analysis and insights Maintain a strategic editorial calendar in alignment with key institutional milestones and campaigns Cultivate and sustain relationships with journalists, editors and media professionals Translate academic research and institutional developments into compelling narratives for public consumption Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure consistency in messaging and brand voice Contribute to reputation management strategies, including proactive and reactive communication plans Desired Competencies Excellent command of written and spoken English Strong understanding of media functioning and editorial relevance Proficiency in writing with clarity, accuracy and purpose under tight deadlines Ability to manage multiple priorities with a structured and detail-oriented approach Confident in stakeholder communication and media coordination Familiarity with the higher education communication landscape is preferred This is an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking communications office dedicated to enhancing the public profile of a leading university.
