Job Description
The ideal candidate for this role is a Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 10 to 15 years of post-qualification industrial experience in a manufacturing or Projects organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the Financial Aspects of the business for India, requiring strong communication and analytical skills to present Financials monthly, including detailed analysis of variances between Budgets and Actuals. Previous experience in controller roles with a hands-on approach is preferred. As part of your responsibilities, you will supervise and manage the finance function on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all financial matters are conducted effectively and efficiently. This includes preparing month-end closing financial commentaries, producing monthly variance reports for budget comparisons, and monitoring the Profit & Loss and Balance sheet of Pan India Engineering Center. You will also be involved in designing and implementing systems, manuals, policies, and procedures to maintain internal financial control aligned with organizational goals. In terms of Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Budgeting, you will be responsible for preparing various financial reports, variance analyses, and annual operating plans. You will also provide management reports with accurate financial information and analysis to support planning, controlling, and decision-making processes. It will be essential to review financial trends, develop estimates, profitability forecasts, and a master financial plan to address short and long-term capital needs. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in monthly reporting and forecasting, ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and completeness. You will analyze material variances between targets/budgets and actual results, recommending corrective actions to enhance revenues and reduce costs. As a Finance business Partner, you will support Engineering Leaders and participate in the development of the Finance Department. The desired candidate should have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of post-qualification experience, with a background in controllership function within a manufacturing, Project, or Engineering organization. An MBA finance Certification would be advantageous, along with proficiency in Financial Analysis & Planning, MIS, Corporate Finance & Accounts, and Budgeting. Strong skills in Forecasting, MIS, ESSBASE, Budgeting, variance Analysis, and Advanced Excel are required. Additionally, experience with ERP systems is a must, with ERP implementation knowledge being a plus. Other qualifications include excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical and leadership abilities, proficiency in MS Office applications, and the capability to work independently. Problem-solving skills, time management, logical decision-making, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential attributes for this role.
