Purpose Of The Role We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer specializing in Android AOSP application development to design and implement cutting-edge applications for modern In-Vehicle Infotainment systems. This role involves working with Android AOSP frameworks, customizing applications, and delivering seamless user experiences. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable and innovative solutions for connected vehicle ecosystems. Job Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize Android AOSP-based applications for IVI systems using Android Kotlin and Java. Customize Android applications to meet automotive requirements and ensure compatibility with IVI hardware platforms. Develop and integrate advanced features, including media playback, navigation, voice commands, Android Auto, CarPlay and personalized user profiles. Collaborate with middleware and platform teams to integrate Android applications with vehicle service APIs and automotive protocols. Enhance application performance and user experience through debugging, profiling, and optimization techniques. Implement robust security features to protect user data and ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards. Create and maintain documentation for application design, development, and testing processes. Work closely with cloud and hardware teams to ensure smooth integration with connected vehicle systems. Conduct unit testing, support system validation, and resolve field issues for Android-based IVI applications. Contribute to defining a long-term roadmap for Android AOSP application development for connected cars. Desired Candidate Profile Qualification-Bachelors/Masters degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field. 6+ years of hands-on experience in Android AOSP application development. Proficiency in Android development using Kotlin, Java, and modern frameworks. Strong knowledge of Android system architecture, application lifecycle, and UI/UX design principles. Experience with integrating automotive communication protocols such as CAN, SOME/IP, and gRPC. Familiarity with debugging tools, performance profiling, and Android testing frameworks. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and DevOps tools for Android application development Preferred Skills Experience in customizing Android AOSP frameworks for automotive hardware platforms. Knowledge of Android frameworks, vHAL and audio/video streaming for IVI systems. Expertise in Android security and best practices for IVI application development. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Android applications using Git. Experience with navigation systems, voice recognition, and connected services in IVI. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.,
