Purpose Of The Role We are seeking a Cloud Software Engineer - API Specialist to design, develop, and optimize API-driven solutions for modern connected vehicle ecosystems. This role focuses on creating secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs that enable seamless interaction between vehicle systems, cloud services, and third-party platforms. The ideal candidate will utilize AWS cloud technologies and adhere to best practices for building robust API ecosystems Job Responsibilities API Development and Management Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and GraphQL endpoints. Ensure APIs are optimized for performance, scalability, and security in cloud-based automotive systems. Implement best practices for API versioning, error handling, and documentation. Cloud API Ecosystem Leverage AWS services like API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and Kinesis to build API solutions. Configure API proxies, throttling, and rate-limiting policies using AWS API Gateway. Integrate with AWS IoT capabilities such as IoT Core, MQTT, and FleetWise to support connected vehicle use cases. Data Integration and Interoperability Enable seamless data exchange between cloud systems, edge devices, and third-party platforms. Develop APIs to support data ingestion, processing, and analytics pipelines. Collaborate with data engineers to integrate APIs with data lakes and warehouses. Security and Compliance Implement API security measures including OAuth2, JWT, and TLS. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly in the connected vehicle domain. Infrastructure and Automation Use tools like Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation to automate API deployment and management. Integrate APIs into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment. Monitor API performance and availability using tools such as AWS CloudWatch. Collaboration and Documentation Work closely with cross-functional teams to define API requirements and usage scenarios. Maintain comprehensive API documentation, including OpenAPI/Swagger specifications. Must-Have Desired candidate profile: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in API development and cloud-native solutions, preferably with AWS. Proficiency in designing and implementing APIs using REST, gRPC, and GraphQL. Expertise in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or Go. Strong understanding of AWS services and API management tools. Knowledge of security protocols like OAuth2, JWT, and TLS. Preferred AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect certification. Familiarity with automotive & connected vehicle technologies and IoT protocols like MQTT. Experience with API orchestration frameworks and edge-to-cloud communication patterns. Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.,
