Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Design Concept preparations and evaluation based on material ,weight, cost in BIW system.
2. Knowledge in BIW parts Packaging & integration of Biw systems.
3. Sheet metal knowledge like- Automobile BIW material Details, Tooling & manufacturing Processes,
4. BIW Validations Knowledge Like CAE,NVH & Crash Testing.
5. Support in design packaging reviews, Interface resolution.
6. Support in Validation concerns resolution along with CFT.
7. Support in Service concerns tracking and resolution along with CFT.
8. Support in Plant concerns tracking and resolution along with CFT.
9. Ensure PR/PPRF/DCR/PRE ECN/ EN / FR release, EBOM, Installation drawing release through PLM.
10. Participate in BIW System benchmarking and incorporating/improving the same into BIW design.

Experience

5 - 7 years

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

Graduate/Post Graduate in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering

General Requirements

1. Biw system level functioning/design of Commercial Vehicle Systems, Categories & Application
2. Knowledge of BIW design Including Closures and mechanism.
3. Knowledge on Sheet metal manufacturing processes.
4. Knowledge of PLM/TC process.
5. Knowledge of 3D modelling, Assembly, Drafting (BIW layouts)
6. Hands on Experience on Catia & Team Center PLM
7. Exposure to existing and future Homologation requirements of Commercial Vehicles CAE, Testing & Validation
8. Knowledge of product complexity/modularity management, manufacturing methods
9. Knowledge of DR, DFMEA, Design for Assembly, Design For Manufacturing Tools.
