Job Description

• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server Operating System (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 & 2022.
• Install, configure and support Windows Server Roles and features.
• Hardware Maintenance and Support for Intel Servers and Storage HP, IBM, Lenovo, Dell and VXRail etc.
• L3 Support for Windows Servers Hardware and Operating System related issue resolutions.
• Physical Server Installation and Rack mounting in Datacentre as per Infrastructure requirements.
• Vendor/OEM Coordination for Hardware parts replacement, maintenance and Support.
• Windows Servers management in a clustered environment.
• Conversant with Scripting for automation jobs.
• Carried out system administration tasks which includes managing system Agents i.e. Endpoint Protection, Log collection and Monitoring, Patching Agent etc.
• Implementing security and hardening policies as per baseline
• Setup, administration and support of virtualization technologies like Server hypervisors Infra i.e. VMWare ESXI/vSphere/vSAN and Microsoft Hyper V.
• Identify capacity upgrades and resource upgrades
• Regular patching, upgrades, migration, hardening and vulnerabilities fixing.
• Systems Security hardening and remediation support.
• Vulnerability assessment and remediation support.
• Routine monitoring and maintenance of Windows Servers.
• Maintain Active Directory and virtual servers.
• Build and configure Windows and VMware hosts.
• Responsible for production support activities for facilities operations to ensure the security and stability of the environment.
• Involves technical understanding of architecture and environments supported.
• Participating in system design improvements and performance enhancements.
• Participate in Business Continuity Planning and exercises as needed like DR drill on quarterly or as and when required.
• Design and implementation of Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) specifically in the vSAN environment.
• Working Knowledge of Email Security Gateway (ESG) and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
• Day to day monitoring and proactively support for the entire Datacentre entities.
• Good exposure of backup and restore tools like Commvault CommCell or Veritas Netbackup.
• Knowledge of ITIL foundation in order to follow and support the business basis on ITSM ticketing tool.
