You are a highly driven and strategic Category Manager II / Senior Category Manager responsible for leading the growth of the domestic and global Puja category for a faith-tech company based in Bengaluru. Your role is crucial in driving category revenue, enhancing profitability, and ensuring meaningful experiences for users on the web and app platforms. Your key responsibilities include driving category revenue growth through pricing strategy, cost management, and market expansion. You will build and execute state-level go-to-market plans aligned with regional panchangs, festivals, and temple traditions. Collaborating with Fulfillment, Product, and Marketing teams is essential to optimize user experience and operations. You will innovate by introducing new puja categories that cater to regional preferences and develop retention-focused programs to boost customer loyalty. Managing the puja calendar at state and national levels, implementing data-driven pricing strategies, analyzing competitor offerings, and overseeing vendor and temple partnerships are also part of your responsibilities. Continuous optimization of category listings across web and app platforms to drive revenue growth is paramount. Your success will be measured based on key metrics and deliverables such as achieving revenue growth targets, maintaining margin goals, launching new puja categories, improving customer retention rates, enhancing user engagement, optimizing pricing and conversion rates, and maintaining or increasing market share. To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in category management, strong analytical skills, understanding of regional cultural nuances and temple networks, ability to manage large-scale vendor ecosystems, excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, experience in pricing strategy, problem-solving ability, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Hands-on experience with web/app-based product merchandising is an advantage.
