As a Software Engineering Manager at TCGplayer, a part of eBay, you will lead a team of engineers focused on developing, upgrading, and advancing our applications. Your primary responsibility will be the development and maintenance of TCGplayer's Point-of-Sale product, with a focus on supporting store operations such as employee and customer management. You will be leading the transition of legacy applications into a microservice-based architecture using cutting-edge technologies. Collaborating closely with other development teams, you will ensure a seamless and user-friendly selling experience across TCGplayer's suite of tools. Given the critical nature of point-of-sale software, you will emphasize software quality, security, and observability. Key Responsibilities: - Develop a top-notch Point Of Sale system for Local Game Stores, enabling thousands of customers globally to expand their businesses in an omni-channel setting - Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver scalable solutions for the TCGplayer platform - Collaborate with Engineering Managers and Project Managers to oversee inter-team dependencies and ensure timely software delivery - Work with Cloud Platform & Site Reliability Engineering teams to maintain a reliable platform for essential in-store tools - Streamline technologies and applications to establish a robust foundation for future business growth Requirements: - Minimum of eight years of software development experience on large-scale systems in a microservice architecture using AWS - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience) - At least three years of management experience - Proficiency in providing project management artifacts in an agile environment - Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Ability to mentor engineers, aiding in their skill development and career growth (including managing remote team members) If you are interested in learning more about how eBay handles your personal data when using the TCGplayer Careers website or applying for a job, please refer to the Talent Privacy Notice.,
