Job Description
You will be responsible for organizing and managing the Quality Control Microbiology Section at Panacea Biotec Ltd. Your role involves ensuring that Microbiology Lab operations and testing adhere to applicable regulations, company specifications, procedures, and industry practices. As the Section Manager, you will be a key leader in all microbiological aspects relevant to product manufacturing. Your responsibilities will include monitoring sampling and testing for environmental and personnel monitoring, raw materials, in-process products, and finished products. You will oversee critical systems monitoring such as Purified Water, Clean Steam, and Clean Compressed Air. Additionally, you will monitor testing apparatus, solutions, media, cultures, and reagents as necessary. It will be your duty to supervise quantitative and qualitative microbiological tests conducted by QC Microbiology personnel, covering areas like media controls, enumeration, sterility testing, and antimicrobial effectiveness. You will be responsible for training and qualifying personnel for Aseptic Operations, Microbiological Sampling and Testing, and related documentation. Your role will also involve reviewing Laboratory Logbooks, preparing reports for evaluation of trends and associated metrics, and overseeing calibration checks of instrumentation and devices. You will provide support for product development projects, investigations, utility systems monitoring, and the stability program. Additionally, you will track and report Quality System Metrics relevant to testing, OOS Investigations, and training for Quality Systems Reporting. Furthermore, you will support audits and inspections as needed. To excel in this role, you must be proficient in microbiology analytical techniques such as membrane filtration methods, pour plate methods, gram stains, colony counting, and aseptic techniques. Experience in antimicrobial effectiveness testing, sterility testing, environmental monitoring programs, cleanroom practices, and equipment qualification is preferred. You should have expertise in preparing documents like Protocols, SOPs, specifications, Gap assessment, and risk assessment. Experience in handling QMS elements like deviation, change control, CAPA, and incident management is essential. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for collaborating with large groups and fulfilling your responsibilities successfully.,
