The Section Head position at Tata Electronics Pvt. Ltd. requires a strategic and detail-oriented professional to lead development and implementation activities, ensuring minimal customer escalations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and overseeing critical engineering processes essential for the success of assembly operations. Key responsibilities of the Section Head include: 1. **DoE Review**: - Planning DOEs in collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Reviewing the status of ongoing DOEs and evaluating completed DOEs. - Approving or rejecting DOEs based on corrective actions related to root causes. - Validating and tracking ongoing DOEs, analyzing results, and communicating with cross-functional teams to address any issues. - Ensuring availability of necessary resources for DOEs and authorizing changes for execution. 2. **Process Review**: - Verifying procedures during process changes and ensuring their successful implementation. - Conducting stack-up analysis, aligning with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment of product reviews. - Reviewing FACA (failure tracking, scheduling iterations, validating results, meeting deadlines). 3. **Process Planning**: - Understanding the development schedule and planning accordingly. - Ensuring incoming parts meet requirements and coordinating with teams for equipment planning. - Responsible for iteration planning, risk assessments, mitigation plans, and ensuring feasibility of meeting customer requirements. 4. **Escalations**: - Timely resolution of escalations such as machine breakdowns, fixture damages, and lack of support. 5. **Engineering Management**: - Defining process KPIs, managing resources (4M), and allocation. - Developing SOPs for FACA/process/product rework and overseeing revisions of products and processes. 6. **Project Management**: - Ensuring timely execution of tasks for sub-departments like NPI Process, Product Design, and FACA teams. 7. **People Management**: - Facilitating team onboarding, goal-setting, and performance management. - Assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and ensuring effective teamwork. **Additional Technical Requirements**: - Minimum Education Qualification: BE/B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering Preferred), Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics - Certifications (bonus): Six Sigma, ASTM, PMP - Minimum Experience: 15-18 years in Assembly manufacturing processes **Additional Technical Specifications/Requirements**: - Solid experience in Assembly processes & technologies, Automation processes, Inspection statistical tools, and Project Management. - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, troubleshooting assembly issues, and lean manufacturing. - Experience in Client SQE (Supply Chain Quality Engg.) interactions and supplier reviews.
