Job Description
The role will be responsible for designing rules/strategies for mule and scam prevention, utilizing descriptive data analytics to understand mule and scam behavior by leveraging the database and using R/SQL. You will develop fraud prevention strategies based on analysis to enhance fraud detection while ensuring minimal customer friction. Leading ongoing reviews of current rules/policies and developing optimization strategies will be part of your responsibilities. Analyzing data from various sources to ensure optimal strategy design and effectively communicating and presenting the analysis on mules and scams to multiple stakeholders in the organization are key tasks. You will work with multiple cross-functional teams to ensure error-free and smooth implementation of the designed fraud strategy. Additionally, you will provide leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff, ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements, and prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements. Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users and managing the relationship between the country and other team members within FRSC are also part of your responsibilities. Guidance to team members on analytical issues and proper documentation and following policies and procedures while making strategy updates will be essential. Key Responsibilities include building new strategies following the requirements in conjunction with stakeholders to deliver a first-class fraud risk management framework, embedding and communicating the Fraud Risk Management framework effectively across WRB Customers segment, developing and maintaining fraud management capabilities, skills, and infrastructure in the country, identifying and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support strategy development, encouraging and promoting an active training and learning environment, delivering defined aspects of the Fraud Risk role to support the Group's Fraud risk management approach and objectives, establishing strong ties into relevant business lines governance, risk, and control committees, ensuring the Fraud risk role is managed in accordance with the defined Fraud Risk Framework and associated Policy and Standards, and displaying exemplary conduct and living by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct. Skills And Experience required for this role include technical skills in Business Analysis, Delivery, Security, and Data Analytics. A bachelor's degree in business or related field or an MBA, a minimum of 10 years of experience in business analysis or a related field, working fraud knowledge (an added advantage), knowledge and experience of analytics tools and techniques, exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills, ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions, excellent communication skills, experience in creating detailed reports and giving presentations, expertise in SAS/R/Python/SQL (at least one), a track record of following through on commitments, excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills, experience leading and developing top-performing teams, a history of leading and supporting successful projects, ability to gather actionable insights from large volumes of data, and stakeholder management at various levels within the Bank.
