Job Description

As a Guest Services Agent at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, your primary responsibility will be to contact the appropriate individuals or departments to efficiently resolve guest calls, requests, or issues. You will leverage sales techniques to maximize revenue while also fostering guest loyalty to Marriott by offering relevant upselling opportunities. Additionally, you will distribute complimentaries to guests as tokens of appreciation for their patronage, such as rewards points, show tickets, or gift certificates. Your role will involve promoting the brand image of Marriott both internally and externally, as well as processing requests for redeeming Marriott Rewards points. Handling all reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations through various channels like phone, fax, or mail will also be part of your daily responsibilities. It will be essential to accurately input Marriott Rewards information into the appropriate software when assisting guests with reservations. Furthermore, you will be expected to answer, document, and address all guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally. General office duties like filing, email correspondence, typing, and faxing will be required to provide support to the Sales & Marketing team. In addition to guest service responsibilities, you will play a crucial role in assisting management with employee training and motivation. Your behavior and work ethic will serve as a model for your colleagues to follow. Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, and upholding the confidentiality of proprietary information will be paramount. The preferred qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, along with a minimum of 2 years of related work experience. While supervisory experience is not mandatory, possessing a relevant license or certification is not a requirement.
