Job Description

You will be responsible for processing all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail. Your main tasks will include identifying guest reservation needs, determining the appropriate room type, and verifying the availability of room type and rate. You will be required to explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers, accommodate and document special requests, and answer questions regarding property facilities/services and room accommodations. Additionally, you will need to follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and input and access data in the reservation system. It is essential to indicate special room reservation types (e.g., complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates, and wholesale reservations) by inputting the correct code and rate into the reservation system. In case of guest concerns, you must follow proper escalation procedures. You will be expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintain a clean and professional appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets and the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guests" service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation towards guests are crucial aspects of this role. Effective communication using clear and professional language, answering telephones with appropriate etiquette, and developing positive working relationships with team members are key responsibilities. Additionally, complying with quality assurance expectations and standards, performing physical tasks such as moving and lifting objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance, and fulfilling other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors are part of your job scope. Preferred qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. No related work experience or supervisory experience is required, and there are no specific licenses or certifications necessary.
