Job Description

The Canine Control and Care Trust (CCC) in Pune is seeking a full-time Researcher for a Dog Behaviour & Sterilization Study on a 1-year contract basis. The position can be based in Pune, Maharashtra, or worked remotely with regular field visits to various sites and cities. The salary offered is 25,000 per month for full-time work, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The desired start date for this role is as soon as possible. As a Researcher at CCC, your primary responsibility will be to design, conduct, and document a comprehensive study on canine behaviour before and after Animal Birth Control (ABC) surgeries. Your duties will include conducting behavioural observations, designing and implementing study protocols, collecting and analyzing data, collaborating with team members, and reporting findings. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing equipment and interactions with the community. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in veterinary sciences, Animal Behaviour, Biology, Zoology, or a related field (an MSc degree is preferred). Your experience should include field observation and behavioural data collection, as well as designing small-scale behavioural studies. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SPSS, R, and Excel is essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with local teams.
