About NHS Ayrshire & Arran

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse / ODP to join the Anaesthetic team within the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital. You should have a keen interest in Anaesthetics and the peri-operative environment. NHS Golden Jubilee has a history of supporting NHS Scotland in delivering Heart and Lung services as well as General and Orthopaedic surgery, both locally and nationally. The hospital currently operates 15 Theatres, 1 Endoscopy room, and conducts elective surgery 6 days a week with an on-call service after hours. As part of the hospital's expansion, the number of theatres will be increased to 20, including a purpose-built 5-room Endoscopy suite. Perioperative nursing within NHS Golden Jubilee is highly person-centered and plays a vital role in the services provided by the hospital. The hospital is now seeking a Registered Nurse/ODP to join the Anaesthetic team within Theatres. If you are enthusiastic about peri-operative practice, eager to acquire new skills, thrive in a dynamic work environment, and possess excellent communication skills, this role is ideal for you. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including covering on-call rotas overnight and on weekends. It also presents an exciting opportunity to be part of the National Organ Retrieval Service. For further information, please reach out to SCN Karen McVey at 0141 951 5068. NHS Golden Jubilee is open to considering flexible working options for this role. Please note that this vacancy may close early if a high volume of applications is received, so early application is recommended to avoid disappointment. As a disability confident leader, the hospital is dedicated to ensuring that the recruitment processes are inclusive and accessible to all.
