Job Description
You have an exciting opportunity to join the Ophthalmology Service at NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital as a Registered Nurse. The Eye Centre is a purpose-built facility that integrates Out Patient Clinics, Pre & Post Op areas, and Theatres to provide high-quality elective Cataract services for the aging population. As the post holder, you should have a caring and compassionate attitude towards patients and colleagues, excellent communication skills, and a Can Do attitude. You must be able to prioritize conflicting demands effectively to meet patient and service needs. The Eye Centre Clinical Education and Nurse Management Team will fully support you in fulfilling all aspects of the role requirements. We are seeking a Registered Adult Nurse with a First Level nursing degree (or equivalent). While experience in Ophthalmology theatre and/or clinic is desirable, it is not essential. For any informal enquiries, please feel free to contact Katy Seaton, SCN, at 0141 951 4045 or via email at katy.saeton@gjnh.scot.nhs.uk. Please note that this post may not meet the eligibility criteria for a Certificate of Sponsorship to support a Skilled Worker Visa or a Health & Care Worker Visa as per the current UK Immigration Rules. Overseas nationals should explore alternative immigration options before applying. For further information, visit www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration. NHS Golden Jubilee is open to considering flexible working options for this role, and the vacancy may close early if a high volume of applications is received. Therefore, it is advisable to apply early to avoid disappointment. As a disability confident leader, we are dedicated to ensuring that our recruitment processes are inclusive and accessible to all.
