Job Description

Key Responsibilities Formulation Development: Develop and optimize formulations for skincare and cosmetic products including creams, gels, serums, lotions, balms, masks, and color cosmetics based on brand briefs, market trends, and performance goals. Stability & Compatibility Testing: Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological stability studies and ensure product safety and efficacy throughout shelf life. Sampling & Trials: Prepare lab-scale and pilot batches, record detailed trial reports, and assist in process optimization for manufacturing scale-up. Raw Material Evaluation: Identify and evaluate new ingredients and actives, ensuring alignment with global regulatory norms (EU, FDA, BIS, etc.) and brand philosophy (natural, vegan, ayurvedic, or dermacare-based). Regulatory & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive formulation documents, product specifications, COAs, MSDS, and technical dossiers for each product. Support the regulatory team in claim substantiation and product compliance. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the production, quality, packaging, and marketing teams to ensure successful product development and launches. Innovation & Market Trends: Stay updated on global beauty trends, novel actives, and sustainable formulation practices to contribute to the brands innovation pipeline. Requirements B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc. in Cosmetic Technology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in R&D within a skincare/cosmetics manufacturing environment. Strong technical knowledge of emulsions, surfactants, active delivery systems, preservatives, and pH balancing. Proficient in lab equipment operations and basic data analysis. Well-versed in GMP, GLP, and safety practices. Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and time management skills. Preferred Background Experience with natural, ayurvedic, vegan, or luxury skincare and color cosmetics is a strong advantage.
