Job Description
Responsibilities - Good knowledge of National & International codes/standard like IBR, TEMA, ASME, BS, EN and PED. Thorough Knowledge about Quality control/inspection of Heat Exchangers, Pressure vessels, columns during various stages of fabrication, Welding, PWHT, Nondestructive testing , Various testing e.g Chemical , Mechanical of steel material and non-destructive examination techniques (Level II in RT, MT, UT,PT and VT). Knowledge of various welding processes SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW. Must have excellent grasping power & presentation skills. Must have analytical skills to dig out root causes in the area of welding. Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team. Proficiency in documentation work as per ITP requirement and handling TPI. Adherence to industry standards, such as ISO:9001, ISO:14001 & ISO: 45001 and internal and external audits. To do Root cause analysis and closing of NCRs with detailed reports. Proficient in MS Windows, Excel, Word, Power point and the use of internal database. Witnessing various Destructive and non-Destructive testing such as Macro examination, PMI, Ferrite (Fertiloscope/wet chemical), chemical (Spectro/ wet chemical), Micro examination, Charpy V notch, Tensile test, Pullout Test, IGC Test. Study of client specification & standard, POs / Drawings for all subcontracted parts. To attend Pre-Inspection Meetings and other meetings, as and when required. To visit manufacturers, suppliers as necessary to perform or witness the required inspections activity. To look at all Inspection related activities for subcontracted parts for Customers. Review & approval of Quality Assurance Plan for subcontracted parts. Preparation of inspection checklists for subcontracted parts. Vendor Evaluation / Rating & Surveillance at vendors place. Study of inspection call from vendors; assign inspection calls to inspectors checking / approval of inspection reports prepared by inspectors. To offer inspection to Customer/Customer appointed inspector at vendors place and take necessary concurrence, updation of LTFPS/Travellers. Qualifications - B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical,
