Job Description
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards and procedures for our [products/processes, e.g., manufacturing processes, software development lifecycle, service delivery]. You will work closely with production, design, and other teams to identify quality issues, propose corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of quality management systems and methodologies.
Responsibilities

Quality System Development & Implementation:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, CMMI specify if applicable).

Create and revise quality control plans, inspection procedures, and work instructions.

Ensure all processes and products comply with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Inspection, Testing & Analysis:

Design and implement inspection and testing methodologies for raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.

Analyze quality data, identify trends, and use statistical tools to determine root causes of defects and non-conformities.

Conduct product and process audits to assess adherence to quality standards.

Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA):

Lead and participate in root cause analysis for quality issues, customer complaints, and internal non-conformances.

Develop and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurrence of quality problems.

Monitor the effectiveness of implemented CAPAs.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or SPC (Statistical Process Control).

Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains while maintaining or enhancing quality.

Participate in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Control Plan development.

Supplier Quality Management (if applicable):

Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.

Conduct supplier audits and support supplier development activities.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, audit reports, and CAPA logs.

Prepare and present detailed quality reports and metrics to management and relevant teams.

Training & Mentorship:

Provide training and guidance to production staff and other relevant personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
