Job Title: Quality Manager High-Rise Building Construction Location: [Insert Location] Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control Reports To: Project Director / Construction Head Job Summary: The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality control and assurance functions of a high-rise building construction project. This role ensures that construction activities meet all relevant codes, standards, regulations, and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and regulatory requirements, with a specific focus on high-rise buildings. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in accordance with industry best practices and client requirements. Ensure compliance with ISO standards, local building codes, and safety regulations. Conduct and manage regular site inspections, audits, and quality walkthroughs. Review and approve quality control procedures, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs). Supervise and guide QA/QC engineers and inspectors. Monitor and report on non-conformities, corrective actions, and preventive actions. Maintain and verify quality documentation including material test reports, calibration records, inspection reports, and third-party certificates. Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality matters. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective measures for recurring issues. Conduct quality training and awareness sessions for project staff and workers. Support final handover documentation and ensure all quality records are complete and compiled. Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters preferred). 10+ years of experience in quality management in the construction industry, with at least 5 years on high-rise projects. Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, BS, IS codes). Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures for structural, architectural, MEP, and finishing works. Proficient in using quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Certifications such as CQE, ISO Lead Auditor (preferred).
