As an Automated Tester, you will be responsible for designing and deploying automated test scripts using various automation software such as QuickTest Professional, Rational Functional Tester, SilkTest, and Visual Studio Test Professional. It is crucial to determine which part of the overall test will benefit from automation, as test automation may not be effective for all types of tests. You should have experience in Quality Management Software and Processes, along with a strong understanding of the technical aspects of the software solutions being tested. Being a clear communicator, both in written and verbal communication, is essential for writing test plans, test cases, and effectively communicating bugs to developers and stakeholders. Your role will also involve creatively solving technical problems to translate technical requirements into test plans. The ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables is important for quickly identifying defects and bugs. Additionally, thinking abstractly and not conforming to norms will help in efficiently finding bugs that may otherwise go unnoticed.,
