We are hiring for the following position: Role: QA Test Engineer Accounting and Reporting (A&R Testing) Location: Bangalore Hybrid (3 Days office) Experience: 4 9 Years Notice: Immediate to 15 days Role and Responsibilities Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases with a strong focus on Accounting and Reporting (A&R) modules and processes. Conduct thorough testing of financial reporting functionalities, including Chart of Accounts, General Ledger, Trial Balance, Sub-ledger Accounting, IFRS17 compliance, and other statutory reporting. Validate end-to-end data flow from source systems to reporting outputs, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and organizational policies. Ensure seamless integration and data validation with Azure Databricks and other data platforms used for financial reporting. Review and test accounting rules, journal entries, and financial consolidations across multiple modules and entities. Collaborate closely with Accounting, Finance, Data, and Engineering teams to verify report accuracy and compliance. Identify, log, and track defects related to accounting logic, data aggregation, and reporting outputs. Perform regression, reconciliation, and variability testing on reports to ensure consistent financial outcomes after changes. Continuously optimize test processes for A&R, incorporating industry best practices and regulatory updates. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience as a QA/Test Engineer with a strong focus on accounting systems and financial reporting. Solid understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP), financial close processes, and reporting cycles. Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Python, or Java. Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Financials, ERP systems, and related financial modules. Experience working with Azure Databricks, data warehouses, or ETL pipelines in support of reporting processes. Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or finance/accounting (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACCA). Experience with IFRS17, actuarial reporting, or multi-entity consolidations. Knowledge of insurance, reinsurance, investment accounting, and expense allocation practices. Familiarity with Power BI, Oracle BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, or other reporting tools.
