Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and fostering a relationship with our suppliers and vendors. You will also oversee the implementation of the supply and production strategies. Responsibilities Develops the Purchasing Strategy. Manage the purchasing process and other members of purchasing team. Should have sound knowledge and experience in purchasing of Engineering items like Pumps , Blowers , Valves , Fittings , Pipes , Instrumentation ,Electrical items , Steel Plates and other Engineering consumables. Should have knowledge of Import substitution/Outsourcing engineering items from other part of the world. Negotiation of Quotations and Contracts Review Purchase Orders for effective terms and Conditions. Maintain Records of Purchasing and Generate MIS for management review. Evaluation of Vendors based on Quality , Delivery and Pricing. Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems Maintain minimum inventory levels as per supply needs and lead time of purchasing. Keep up with trends in procurement related to RM pricing and device effective strategy from time to time. Device the KRA for Purchase department for Cost reduction through new supplier development , effective negotiations, Value Engineering , Import Substitution and other Tools. Qualifications Should have Engineering degree Having Min. 10 years experience working in the purchasing department in the same/similar industry required Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends. Working knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry. Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport Excellent verbal and written communication skills Great team player,
