Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Identify and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery time. Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors. Raise purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of medicines and consumables. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with store staff for demand forecasting. Maintain purchase records and ensure proper documentation. Coordinate with the billing and inventory teams for stock entries. Verify invoices and delivery challans for accuracy. Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies. Maintain good relationships with vendors and evaluate their performance. Required Qualifications & Skills: Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree (preferred in Pharmacy, Commerce, or related field). Experience: 13 years in purchase/procurement, preferably in a medical or pharmaceutical setting. Knowledge of medicines, surgical items, and medical supplies. Good negotiation and communication skills. Familiarity with inventory and billing software (like Marg, Medico, etc.). Basic knowledge of drug procurement regulations and GST billing.
