Job Title: Public Area Attendant Department: Housekeeping Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper Supervises: None Job Summary: The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance of all public areas in the hotel, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, restaurants, and other guest-accessible spaces. This role ensures a welcoming and clean environment for all guests and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Clean and maintain hotel public areas such as lobbies, restrooms, elevators, corridors, lounges, restaurants, and banquet halls. Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish furniture and floors as required. Restock supplies in public restrooms (e.g., tissue, soap, hand sanitizer). Empty trash bins and handle waste disposal safely and hygienically. Spot-clean carpets, glass surfaces, and high-touch areas regularly. Respond promptly to cleaning requests or spills in public areas. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or suspicious activity to supervisors. Maintain housekeeping carts and ensure proper storage of supplies. Follow cleaning schedules and hotel SOPs for public area upkeep. Greet guests courteously and offer assistance when appropriate. Required Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in a housekeeping or janitorial role. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment. Ability to work on foot for extended periods and perform physical tasks. Attention to detail and awareness of safety and hygiene standards. Reliable, punctual, and presentable.
