Job Title: Progress 4GL Senior Developer Experience: 4+ Years Key Responsibilities: Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain applications using Progress 4GL programming language. Build efficient, reusable, and reliable code tailored to business needs. System Maintenance & Support: Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and optimization for existing Progress-based applications. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand application requirements. Translate functional requirements into technical solutions. Database Management: Work with Progress OpenEdge databases, including schema design, optimization, and performance tuning. Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient querying. Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, system testing, and integration testing to ensure code quality. Address and fix defects identified during various testing phases. Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test cases, and user manuals. Required Skills: Proficiency in Progress 4GL programming and Progress OpenEdge. Experience in designing and optimizing database schemas and queries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC). Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of modern development frameworks and integration tools. Experience with QAD ERP or similar applications (if relevant). Familiarity with web technologies and APIs for integrating Progress-based applications. Agile development experience is a plus.,
