Job Brief: We are looking for a competitive and trustworthy - Production Technician (Fiber Optic), with experience in fiber optic cable assembling, to join our growing and energetic team. This person will be responsible for optical connector assembly, termination of various configurations of fiber optic cable assemblies, and testing of these cable assemblies. This individual will also assist in process development and resolution of problems encountered in the process of bringing new optical products from concept to market. The goal is to meet and surpass the companys expectations to drive rapid and sustainable growth. Job Description: Handling of fiber optics cables; including Stripping, Cleaning, Epoxy bonding, Polishing, Crimping, Testing, Labeling and Packing. Recognize cosmetic and functional discrepancies on components and cable assemblies. Assemble cable connectors and fiber cable according to work instructions. Inserts cable in plastic tubing or injects plastic sealant around terminals. Marks identifying data on completed harness and Packing. Use testing equipment to troubleshoot problems and resolve them. Pursuing continuous improvement through training and process improvement. Job Requirement: +2 Science / ITI / Diploma 2-3 years of experience working in a fiber optic assembly manufacturing environment Knowledge of all types of fiber optics cables & fiber termination connectors. Must be familiar with optical manufacturing principles such as cable termination to various single fiber and multi fiber optical termini and test methods to test single mode and multi-mode optical fiber. Must have a Steady hands and good dexterity skills; working with small component parts. Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, work under pressure and manage time. Computer literate for simple inspection & data entry.
