Job Description

The Production Supervisor/Manager at Woods Decor will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe production processes. As a key leader in the production team, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the production floor, supervise staff, improve production workflows, and uphold high-quality standards for furniture products. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment, preferably in the furniture industry. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee Production Operations: Manage daily production activities to ensure timely and efficient production of high-quality furniture products, meeting company standards and customer demands. - Staff Supervision and Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of production workers, ensuring optimal performance, adherence to safety regulations, and continuous skill development. - Quality Control: Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and design integrity. - Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to production workflows, machine utilization, and processes to maximize productivity and reduce waste or downtime. - Scheduling and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring production targets are met on time, and resources are efficiently allocated. - Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all production processes adhere to health and safety regulations, promoting safe working practices to minimize accidents or injuries. - Inventory Management: Oversee tracking of raw materials and finished products, ensuring adequate stock levels for uninterrupted production. - Performance Reporting: Track and report on production performance, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions as needed to meet company goals. Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a production supervisory/managerial role, preferably in furniture manufacturing or related industry. - Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and team development. - Technical Skills: Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and tools used in furniture manufacturing. - Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve production issues efficiently. - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with staff, upper management, and suppliers. - Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail. - Education: Degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field is a plus but not required.
