Job Description

Procurement Job Role in a Food Factory Job Title: Procurement Manager / Procurement Executive Key Responsibilities: 1. Raw Material & Ingredient Sourcing Identify and source flour, sugar, dairy, preservatives, flavorings, and other ingredients from reliable vendors. Ensure materials meet food safety and quality standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, etc.). Manage relationships with local and international suppliers to get the best deals. 2. Packaging Material Procurement Purchase wrappers, cartons, trays, labels, and sealing materials as per production requirements. Ensure packaging meets branding and regulatory guidelines. 3. Cost & Inventory Management Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid production delays. Negotiate bulk pricing and contracts with suppliers. Work with the finance team to manage budgets and cost-saving strategies. 4. Logistics & Supplier Coordination Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid factory downtime. Track and monitor shipment schedules for imports or local deliveries. 5. Compliance & Documentation Maintain purchase records, invoices, and supplier agreements. Ensure all materials meet FSSAI, HACCP, and internal food safety protocols.
