As a Principal Expediting Engineer at Burns & McDonnell, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of work share projects between our consultancy firm and our US parent company. With 11-12 years of experience in the EPC industry, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment, thereby contributing to the seamless progress of our projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining project schedules and overcoming any issues or delays in the procurement and delivery process. Your key credentials and responsibilities will involve coordinating to resolve any challenges, maintaining accurate records related to expediting activities, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies. Additionally, you will collaborate with vendors to enhance delivery performance, expedite suppliers for project materials and documents, and conduct desk and field expediting for both international and domestic suppliers. Your qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, knowledge of international shipping and logistics, attention to detail, and advanced computer literacy. You should also possess excellent written and spoken English skills to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
