About The Opportunity As a VMware Platform Engineer, you will design, deploy, and operate mission-critical virtualization estates on-site at our client facilities, ensuring performance, security, and scalability across private and hybrid clouds. Role & Responsibilities Engineer and harden vSphere, ESXi, and vSAN clusters to deliver 99.99% uptime. Automate build, patching, and configuration tasks using PowerCLI, Ansible, and REST APIs. Monitor capacity, performance, and logs via vRealize Operations and generate improvement plans. Lead migrations, upgrades, and disaster-recovery drills, documenting runbooks and rollback paths. Collaborate with network, storage, and security teams to enforce compliance and zero-trust policies. Provide L3 support, root-cause analysis, and mentoring to junior administrators. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have 5+ years hands-on with VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x in production. Expertise in ESXi host deployment, clustering, vMotion, DRS, and HA. Strong scripting with PowerCLI or Python for automation. Solid grasp of Linux server administration and TCP/IP networking. Experience with backup, replication, and DR tooling (Veeam, SRM, etc.). Preferred Exposure to vRealize Suite, NSX-T, or vCloud Director. Knowledge of container platforms (Tanzu, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines. VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) or higher.
