Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to lead our production operations for box-build assembly products. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing complex electro-mechanical products, with a good understanding of Electronics manufacturing (EMS) and lean manufacturing principles. Experience in setting up factories, getting the required statutory and other requisite licenses and approvals, experience in BIS license & Contract manufacturing will be an advantage. Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Plant Management: Oversee daily plant operations including assembly lines, material flow, manpower deployment, and production planning. Shop floor Excellence: Drive productivity, discipline, and process efficiency on the shop floor with hands-on leadership and clear performance metrics. Strategic Manufacturing Leadership: Develop and execute scalable manufacturing strategies to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, and motivate a multidisciplinary team of shop floor supervisors, line managers, and engineers. Operations Management: Oversee end-to-end assembly operations for box build products including PCBA integration, wiring, testing, and final packaging. Process Excellence: Implement and drive lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Design, Quality, SCM, and Sales teams to ensure manufacturability, timely deliveries, and customer satisfaction. Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO, IPC, etc.), safety norms, and regulatory requirements. CapEx & Budgeting: Manage manufacturing budgets, plan capex for equipment and tooling, and drive cost optimization. Vendor & Supplier Interface: Collaborate with supply chain for component availability, vendor development, etc. Maintenance & Infrastructure: Monitor equipment utilization, preventive maintenance schedules, and infrastructure upkeep for uninterrupted operations. Required Skills & Experience: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline. 8-12 years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong focus on box-build assemblies and electronics integration. Proven track record in leading large-scale assembly operations in a structured environment. Deep technical understanding of electronic components, PCBAs, wiring, and testing protocols. Prior experience in EMS companies or with contract manufacturing models is a plus. Proficient in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and other operational excellence tools. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.,
