Job Description

The Plant General Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the plant, including production, maintenance, quality, and safety. This role ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing of products while leading a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and team performance. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee the overall plant operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic business objectives. Production Planning & Control: Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product standards and reducing costs. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as productivity, quality, delivery, and safety. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, safety regulations, and environmental policies. Work closely with QA/QC teams to maintain high product quality and reduce rework or waste. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop plant staff; build a strong leadership pipeline. Conduct performance reviews, training, and succession planning. Safety and Maintenance: Ensure the plant operates in a safe and secure environment. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all equipment and infrastructure. Customer and Supplier Coordination: Coordinate with sales, supply chain, procurement, and customer service teams for seamless operations. Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or related field (Masters preferred). 10+ years of progressive experience in plant operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.,
