Job Description (JD) Plant & Machinery (P&M): Job Title: Plant & Machinery Reports to: Project Manager Location: Virar Job Description (JD) for a Plant and Machinery position in Construction: We are seeking an experienced Plant and Machinery Manager to oversee the maintenance, operation, and management of heavy equipment and machinery on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant management, excellent technical knowledge, and outstanding leadership skills. Key Responsibilities: 1. Plant and Machinery Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all heavy equipment and machinery on site. 2. Equipment Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure equipment is in good working condition. 3. Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage plant and machinery budgets, monitor costs, and identify areas for cost savings. 4. Operator Training: Ensure all operators are trained and certified to operate equipment safely and efficiently. 5. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all plant and machinery operations comply with safety regulations and company policies. 6. Site Support: Provide technical support and advice to site teams on plant and machinery operations. 7. Procurement: Assist in the procurement of new equipment and machinery. 8. Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on plant and machinery performance, maintenance, and costs. Requirements: 1. Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 2. Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in plant and machinery management in the construction industry. 3. Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment and machinery, including maintenance and repair procedures. 4. Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and train teams. 5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with site teams, management, and external stakeholders. 6. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues.
