Job Description

As a Piping Design professional at WSP, you will play a crucial role in the Energy Transition team. Your responsibilities will include preparing drawings with calculations, technical design, and layout design using CAD/CAE methods. It will be essential to complete your work within the allotted hours and program schedule. In this position, you will take on the designer role for Energy projects. Your main focus will be on ensuring a coordinated approach to delivering engineering design quality, technical excellence, and innovative designs for various project phases. This includes feasibility studies, concept and scheme designs, detailed design, and construction support. Your tasks will involve the preparation of drawings using CAD systems, 3D modeling of various components like pipework, equipment, buildings, process modules, tanks, pressure vessels, pipe supports, electrical and control routing. Additionally, you will be responsible for isometric generation, PFDs, P&IDs, and briefing drawings. Furthermore, you will be involved in the preparation of design calculations, assisting with datasheets, specifications, material take-offs, and schedules. Your role will also include checking drawings and designs, coordinating with other disciplines, and performing clash checks. Implementing company quality procedures and client design standards will also be part of your responsibilities. You will work as a designer on selected projects, overseeing and coordinating other designers and design activities within a project task force. Managing the development of CAD systems, including 3D modeling and intelligent P&ID systems, will be essential for this role. Additionally, ensuring that safety issues are fully considered within projects is a key aspect of this position. The job location for this role is in Bangalore/Mumbai, and the ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in Piping Design.
